I didn't realize I was shutting down

Hi friend,

I've been trying to write this for a while.

Not because I didn't know what to say...
but because I wasn't fully ready to admit how bad things had gotten.

Over the last few months, I didn't just feel overwhelmed.

I slowly shut down.

Not in a dramatic way.
Not in a way anyone would immediately notice.

But in the quiet, everyday parts of life—
my home, my routines, my responsibilities, my motivation... even my relationship with God.

I didn't have a name for it at the time.

But looking back, it was emotional paralysis.

And I almost gave up.

Completely.

I shared the full story in a new post (and podcast episode)—what it actually looked like, what was underneath it, and how God met me in it... not all at once, but through small, steady nudges.

If you've been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or like things are slowly unraveling... I think this might resonate with you.

If any part of that feels familiar, I shared everything here:

👉 How God Pulled Me Out of Emotional Paralysis

If reading feels like too much right now, you can also listen or watch:

And this is something I'm really excited about...

This post also includes the first official Simply Shielded resource.

If you've heard me talk about Simply Shielded before—this is the beginning of it.

It's not overwhelming.
It's not something you have to "keep up with."

It's just a simple way to reconnect with God when you feel stuck and don't know where to start.

Inside, you'll find:

  • a prayer you can keep somewhere visible
  • scriptures with simple guided prayers
  • a few pages to help you process what's really going on

If you need that right now, you can grab it directly from the post.

You don't have to figure everything out today.

Just take one small step.

I'm really glad you're here.

Hey friend, I published something new today—and it's one of the most honest things I've written about money. If you've ever felt like: no matter how hard you try, you can't get ahead your money disappears faster than you can track it or you shut down completely when things get tight this is for you. Because the truth is... Most of us don't have a discipline problem. We have a system problem. And we've been trying to force ourselves into systems that were never built for real life—or for the...

Hi friend, I've been sitting on this for a while... because I didn't fully realize what I was doing. When it came to money, I wasn't just stressed. I was avoiding it. Not because I didn't care. But because I cared so much that I felt likeone wrong move could make everything worse. So I would:wait too long to pay thingsavoiding checking balancesput things off "just in case" And it kept me stuck. I finally put words to it in this week's post and podcast: 👉 Overwhelmed with Finances? Or watch on...

Hi friend, I’ve been trying to publish this all month. Not because I didn’t believe in it…but because I kept delaying it. At first, I told myself I needed to record the video first. And no matter what I tried, I couldn't get it right. Then last week I got sick and was completely wiped out for days. And at some point, I realized: I was still delaying something I knew I was supposed to share. So I just published the post. No podcast. No perfect rollout.Just obedience. And honestly… that’s what...
