When quiet time doesn't go as planned...

Hey friend,

So I recorded my podcast last night...

and let's just say—it didn't go as planned 😅

Right as I trying to upload and create the thumbnail, my daughter decided it was the perfect time to come in, talk to me, and completely derail what I was trying to do.

And in that moment, I just kind of laughed...

because honestly?

That's real life.

And it's actually a perfect picture of what this season has felt like for me when it comes to spending time with God.

I've had this idea in my head for so long of what my quiet time should look like—

calm, focused, uninterrupted.

But lately?

It's been messy. Tired. Distracted. Interrupted.

And I started to realize I was trying to force something that just wasn't working in this season.

So instead...

I tried something different.

I started taking a simple prayer walk in the mornings.

Nothing complicated. Nothing perfect.

Just getting outside, moving my body, and talking to God in a way that actually fits my life right now.

And honestly—it's been exactly what I needed.

I shared more about it here:

If you've been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or inconsistent in your quiet time, I think this might really encourage you.

Also—I wanted to share something I've been working on behind the scenes.

These prayer walks have actually been shaping something new I'm building—a simple 7-day prayer reset.

It's still in progress, but the goal is to create something that helps you reconnect with God in a really real, doable way... especially if you've been feeling stuck.

I'll share more soon as it comes together.

For now, if quiet time has been feeling hard lately...

maybe don't overthink it.

Try something simple.

Even if it's just a short walk and a conversation with God.

That's enough.

🤍

P.S. Have you ever tried a prayer walk before? Or is this something new for you?

Hi friend, As this email goes out, I'm heading into one of the busiest seasons of my work year—Chromebook collection at school. Over the next week and a half, I'll be collecting and assessing over 700 devices, which means long days, mental exhaustion, and very little margin. And honestly? That's exactly why this week's podcast episode and blog post felt so important to share. Because in busy seasons, it's easy to believe that if we can't spend time with God perfectly, it somehow "doesn't...

Hi friend, I hope you had a restful Mother's Day weekend. For me, this weekend felt slower in the best way. Church had such a powerful message about overcoming evil with good, and honestly... it felt like one of those mornings where you could almost feel the enemy trying to create distraction and frustration before the message even began. A warm auditorium packed with 500+ people on a warm Sunday morning in West Palm Beach definitely tested everyone's patience a little. But despite all of...

Hi friend, This month is going to be... a lot. My husband is in one of his busiest seasons at work—he's helping host graduations for 29 different high schools and adult education, which means long days, multiple events, and honestly... we will barely get to see him. If's one of those seasons where everything feels a little heavier than usual. More responsibility at home.More to keep track of.Less margin. And if I'm being honest, these are the exact moments when my finances usually start to...
