Keeping the clutter at bay is hard for me, and I know I'm not alone. We purposely bought our house as a starter house and had every intention to move on BEFORE having kids, but you know what they say. If you want to make God laugh, tell Him your plans! I know others in my neighborhood with the same house and I have no idea how they manage multiple kids in there!
I admit to being multi-passionate and that's a trait my daughter inherited, too. Oh, yeah, she also has mild ADHD, too! So it often feels like I'm surrounded with half-finished projects all around me, mixed with Bella's toys, and whatever Brian has brought home and dropped throughout the house.
I feel as if we're always in a state of decluttering. It's possible that's because either my mother has found more toys and things of my childhood she hoarded and is passing along, or a holiday sweeps through and drops off another sleigh of toys and clothes.
My current declutter project is my home office, which keeps getting delayed left and right. However, I promised Bella to have it sorted out so we can set up her new art table in there. That art table will allow her to paint/slime/Play-Doh her time away as I create content on Simply Waterbury and my other website, Tales Come True.

Hi friend, I want to share something personal with you today—something that’s been stirring in my heart for a while now. A couple years ago, I thought I knew what God's promise for my life looked like. I tried to make it happen my way… and everything crumbled. But when I finally surrendered, He gave me a new promise:“This time next year, you will be in the house with a baby in your belly.” At the time, it didn’t make sense. We were deep in debt, overwhelmed, and exhausted. But then He gave me...
Hey sweet friend, This summer has been a lot — and I’ll be honest, I’ve been under the weather lately while also home with Bella on break. So things haven’t exactly gone to plan. 😅 But even in the chaos and the delay, I still felt God prompting me to share this week's message. Because it’s one that changed my prayer life in a huge way... and I believe it can do the same for you. It’s all about creating your own prayer wall — a space in your home to organize your prayers, focus your heart, and...
Hi friend, This week, I’m sharing something incredibly personal—one of the hardest, most spiritual battles I’ve ever faced. For a long time, I thought our home struggles were just “life.” But looking back, I can see clearly: it was spiritual warfare. Real, targeted, strategic attacks from the enemy to distract us, discourage us, and keep us from stepping into the calling God placed on our lives. But here’s the good news—the devil didn’t win. 💻 Read the full story on the blog:How the Devil...
